Resolved Question: what's the best way to move into a new state?

my boyfriend got relocated (darn Army lol) to North Carolina. he actually lives right outside of Fort Bragg (in Fayetteville) and we're seriously considering me moving in with him. how will I get all of my sh*t up there? lol I live in southern Missouri right now, so it's quite a ways. also, what's the weather like over there? I've never been..to be perfectly honest I don't even know exactly where I'm going to be when I get there lol he said it's a nice suburb-ish place right outside of Bragg so he can go in whenever. any advice about moving is greatly appreciated!
